forty years ago, a small store called Soundair
opened in Caulfield, Melbourne, specialising in
air-conditioning and sound for motor cars. As
home hi-fi became more sophisticated and accessible,
Soundair moved in this direction, whilst maintaining
its original services. Soundair has always been
at the forefront of audio and video technology.
In 1986, we launched the concept
of the domestic surround-sound system. Soundair
was the first store nationally to introduce surround-sound
for the home. In the early 1990s, we began specialising
in home theatre.
Soundair's company policy has
always been to 'give every customer the best they
can afford'. The customer is our first loyalty,
rather than pushing brands. We tailor systems
to suit the ear, house/room and budget, blending
brands as is appropriate. The success of this
philosophy is reflected by the incredible loyalty
of our customers. We are proud of our repeat business,
and word-of-mouth advertising.

After more than twenty years of designing and
installing stereo and a-v systems in existing
homes, professional theatres and off-the-plan
for some of Melbourne's finest homes, no store
